City of Kelowna Buys Waterfront Property

WATERFRONT PROPERTY SOLD!

Hey Beach goers, it’s official! The City of Kelowna purchased waterfront property this summer as part of a continued commitment to increase public waterfront access. The city purchased 4214 Hobson Road in the Lower Mission with a beach setting that compliments the city owned property next door used by the sailing club (Central Okanagan Sailing Association). The Lower Mission waterfront area is famous for flat sandy beaches where families flock to! Tourists and locals alike love the beaches of the Lower Mission. Furthermore the new public beach is located in one of Kelowna’s most expensive neighborhoods. No word yet on what will happen to the cottage on the property. Despite the original age of the cottage it had undergone a substantial renovation.

The sandy shoreline will be put to good use for sure! It is a great place for making sandcastles or having a family picnic!  Grab the paddle board or just curl up with a good book. Summertime is looking good!
